Neslihan Günaydin Albay was born in 1987 in Ordu, Turkey. She received her bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature in 2008 and completed her MA in Victorian Studies at the University of Leicester (UK) in 2010, with a thesis titled "Forms of cultural exchange and appropriation in Victorian burlesques of Shakespeare’s Hamlet”. She earned her PhD from Istanbul University in 2018 with a dissertation exploring the cultural nationalist and anti-imperialist roles of Halide Edib Adivar and Lady Augusta Gregory. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Dogus University in Istanbul, Turkey. Her research interests include comparative literature, world literature, feminist literary theories, postcolonial and postmodern literature, contemporary British drama, and diaspora studies.
