Manchao He is currently the Director of State Key Laboratory for Tunnel Engineering (TESKL) in Beijing, and Professor of China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing (CUMTB), China. He is an Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), foreign Academician of Argentine National Academy of Engineering (ANI). He is mainly engaged in the theory and technology of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, including soft rock large deformation mechanism and control, mining technologies, rockburst mechanism, active fault stability analysis, monitoring and control, etc. He creatively proposed the 110/N00 mining method technological system which has led the third revolution of mining science and technology in China. He successfully invented the novel energy-absorbing NPR (Negative Poisson’s Ratio) bolt/anchor. The bolt, called as “HE-bolt” in the world, can exhibit extraordinarily large elongation at very high working resistance to the external load, and also have an ideal elastic-plastic behavior. Professor Manchao He is the Chairman of the ISRM NG China and the chairman of ISRM Commission on Rockbursts. He is also the President of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME) and President of Chinese Union for Mining Innovation (CUMI). LiGe Wang is a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor from Shandong University. He earned his Ph.D. from The University of Edinburgh, majoring in computational granular mechanics. His research interests span a wide spectrum of subjects including but not limited to rock mechanics, deep underground energy storage and process systems intelligence. He has published 3 monographs and over 60 scientific papers in highly-regarded international journals. He spearheaded the world's first-generation coupling platform of DEM modelling software EDEM and process system modelling software gPROMS. He collaborates extensively with academic and industrial partners, providing leadership and consultancy for numerous national and international funding projects. Professor LiGe Wang is currently acting as Vice President of China National Group for International Society for Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering, Deputy Secretary of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. Wei Yao is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the School of Civil Engineering, Tianjin University. He obtained his Ph.D. in civil and mineral engineering from the University of Toronto. His research interests cover deep underground rock mechanics, rock engineering, CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage), geothermal energy, dynamic material failure in complex environments, and laboratory seismology. He has authored two monographs and published over 60 scientific papers in high-impact international journals. Wei Yao actively collaborates with academic and industrial partners to address dynamic instability and failure issues in deep rock engineering and CO2 geological sequestration using rock dynamics. He has led and participated in several national and international funding projects. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Secretary of Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering. Wengang Dang is an associate professor of the "One Hundred Plan" at Sun Yat-sen University, doctoral supervisor, part-time deputy secretary of Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, doctoral / postdoctoral fellow at the Technical University of Freiberg in Germany, and Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.  Zhuo Wang is an accomplished scholar with strong track record in engineering geology. She earned her Ph.D. in Geoscience through a joint program at China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Stanford University (USA), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at CUMTB. Dr. Wang served as the head of the Academic Exchange Department at the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering.
