Estevão Rafael Fernandes is an anthropologist specializing in indigenous peoples of South America. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal Universities of Rondônia in Brazil. He is co-authoring “Gay Indians in Brazil” and “Queer Natives in Latin America,” both from Springer Publishing. Ana Karoline Nobrega Cavalcanti is a Nephrologist, a full member of the Brazilian Society of Nephrology, having done her residency at the most advanced Brazilian hospital, the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, in São Paulo. Since 2018 she has been the nephrologist physician in charge of the renal transplant sector in the state of Rondônia, in the Brazilian Amazon.
